16 Hours to Port au Prince
We are more than ready to leave for our trip. We’ve been shopping, prepping, packing…repacking and have done more than a little reading concerning our destination. One of the most informative and eloquently written current reflections about Kabik/Jacmel we’ve accessed belongs to a friend and advisor Jay Paris. Jay was in Haiti a few weeks ago, visiting his daughter Sophie and newborn grandson Luka. His blog is part “proud new grandfather” part “well journeyed romantic” and part “analytical journalist.” However you read it, it is spectacularly insightful and a joy to learn from.
